Legacy Fighting Alliance 37 – Sid Bice

By Lance Edwards Sid Bice (8-1) is by now well known to fans of LFA. Having previously fought twice for the promotion, and once for RFA, he feels comfortable with the promotion. At LFA 37, he fights for the vacant flyweight title when he faces the Cuban Maikel Perez (5-1). Although Bice trains in Colorado, the South Dakota native will feel comfortable fighting in his home state. Bice grew up in a small town, Winner, South Dakota. As a youth, he trained in wrestling before transitioning to MMA when he grew too old to compete. Knowing that he needed to find a bigger gym, he relocated to Colorado, where he has been training at Factory X for the past five or six years. Bice’s last fight was against Kenny Porter…

Legacy Fighting Alliance 37 – Maikel Perez

By Lance Edwards Cuban Olympic wrestler Maikel Perez (5-1) is hotly tipped to be a future star of MMA. At LFA 37, he has his fifth fight for the promotion when he faces Sid Bice (8-1) for the vacant flyweight title. Although Perez is relatively new to the sport of MMA, he brings a champion mindset and tenacity that few can equal. In MMA, wrestling is often seen as one of the most dominant components. If you have good wrestling, you can keep the fight on your feet or take it to the ground. Many years have gone in to Perez’s mastery of the discipline. “I started training at seven years old in Cuba. We trained five or six days a week, but not on Sundays. There were only two…

As her name suggests Sabina Mazo Isaza originates from Columbia where she started training and competing in combat sports.   “I started as a hobby. I wanted to train Muay Thai. Although it started as a hobby I started to get involved in it as a sport.  I competed in Muay Thai and boxing. My Muay Thai record was 3-1 and my boxing 7-0 or 6-0, I can’t remember. I also competed in Jiu Jitsu, I like to do it all. I love competition, I like the…
