Legacy Fighting Alliance 10 – Nick Urso

By Lance Edwards   According to Tapology, Nick Urso (9-3) is New Mexico’s top flyweight currently. Being a veteran of both RFA and LFC, he appears a perfect co-main event fixture for Legacy Fighting Alliance.  At LFA 10, he faces Brandon Royval (5-2) in what should prove to be a fast paced 125 lb matchup. Urso himself is not a native of New Mexico. “I was born in Chicago, and moved to Florida when I was thirteen. I lived in Spring Hill, near Tampa. My dad was a lifelong martial artist. You name it, he did it. Kickboxing, boxing, sticks, Jeet Kune Do, and he did everything. My pre-school was attached to his kickboxing academy.” Urso was introduced to martial arts early in his life. “I don’t remember not being…

Legacy Fighting Alliance 39 – Jerome Rivera

By Lance Edwards   It’s been a year since we saw Jerome Rivera (7-1). His last fight was at LFA 14 for the flyweight title. Unfortunately, the bout didn’t go his way, and Roberto Sanchez (8-1) won the bout in the third round via arm lock, before moving on to the UFC. Rivera returns at LFA 39 to face Brandon Royval (6-3) and is looking to show that he deserves another shot at the title.
