Legacy Fighting Alliance 18 – Brendan Allen

By Lance Edwards At Legacy Fighting Alliance 14, LFC and LFA veteran Brendan Allen (7-2) faced former Alabama linebacker LFA and Bellator veteran Eryk Anders (9-0). Allen lost by unanimous decision but went five rounds with Anders in a fight for the middleweight title. Anders went on to take a fight in the UFC with Rafael Natal (21-9). “People were saying that he’d be explosive. I felt he won the fight, but it wasn’t a good representation of my ability. It was closer than the judges said. When I went back and looked at the tape after, I could see that. With a few things done differently, I’d have got the decision. I needed to do more on the cage, I’m used to using that as a place to take a break, and…

On August 4th, just over a month since his last bout, Rader steps into the cage once again at LFA 18 to face current featherweight champion Kevin Aguilar (12-1). Aguilar is coming off a successful title defense in February where he dispatched LFC and UFC veteran Damon Jackson (12-2-1). This may seem a tough fight for a professional who has been fighting for just three years. however, Rader is an accomplished grappler. As well as being a high school wrestler, he excelled in jiu jitsu. This resulted in him winning the World No Gi Championship at both brown and black belt levels amongst many other accolades. Legacy Fighting Alliance 17 – Thiago Moisés

By Lance Edwards Thiago Moisés (9-1) is one of the most promising prospects in the lightweight division currently not signed by the UFC.  Moisés fought on four occasions for RFA and clinched the lightweight title, which he then defended on two later occasions. This stamped his dominance in the division. It is no surprise that Moisés’ first fight for LFA sees him fight for the lightweight title against another stand out, Rob Watley (7-1) at LFA 17. Originally from Indaiatuba, Brazil, Moisés got involved with combat sports at a young age. “I got involved with my father. He also fought MMA and he introduced me to BJJ when I was 4 years old. Legacy Fighting Alliance 16 – Bilal Williams

By Lance Edwards   Bilal Williams (8-3) is a veteran of eight Legacy Fighting Championship fights who makes his Legacy Fighting Alliance debut at LFA 16. What is unusual about Williams is that he has made a career of taking last minute fights against tough opponents and coming out victorious. At LFA 16, Williams faces the athletic prospect Geoffrey Neal (6-2) in what promises to be a great fight. Williams was riding a four-fight winning streak when he lost to Melvin Jordan (5-2) at LFC 61, in what many, including Williams, deemed a controversial stoppage. Williams bounced back at LFC 63 to defeat the tough Trey Houston (12-4). “Since the last fight I’ve been focusing on Jiu Jitsu, trying to get that better. I’ve been continuing to train my striking…
