Legacy Fighting Alliance 7 – Adrian Yanez

By Lance Edwards   Adrian Yanez (4-1) is a fighter who has been developed through the Legacy ranks. Originally fighting for the Legacy Amateur Series, when he became professional he had two of his five professional fights for Legacy Fighting Championship and one for Bellator.  Yanez makes his debut for the newly formed Legacy Fighting Alliance on 24th March in Houston, TX at LFA 7. In this bout, he faces another highly touted up and comer in the form of Domingo Pilarte (6-1). This fight comes after a seven-month layoff for Yanez, who is coming off a four-fight win streak. Previously, Yanez, who is only twenty-three but has been fighting since 2012, was training largely in a full time capacity. “Since my last fight, I’ve been working, training and trying…

Legacy Fighting Alliance 7 – Jason “The Slim Reaper” Langellier

Jason “The Slim Reaper” Langellier (4-1) is a hotly tipped fighter hailing from Saul Soliz’s Metro Fight Club. Fans of the sport will remember Soliz from his involvement with many big names in the sport ranging from Tito Ortiz to Ricco Rodriguez and Mark Coleman, to name just a few. Langellier had a successful career as an amateur capturing the Legacy Amateur Series 170 lb belt before moving on to fight professionally at 155 lb for both Legacy Fighting Championship and Bellator. Langellier’s last fight at LFC 59 saw him suffer his first loss of his professional career against the more experienced Justin Reiswerg (10-6). “I thought I was winning the fight. I made a few rookie mistakes, things I’d drilled over, but got sloppy. I felt I won the…

Legacy Fighting Alliance 7 – Roberto “Little Fury” Sanchez

By Lance Edwards   Roberto “Little Fury” Sanchez (5-0) is looking to prove that he really is a prospect to watch when he steps up to the next level at Legacy Fighting Alliance 7. Sanchez’s opponent in the cage is Octagon MMA’s Klayton Mai (8-2), a veteran of both Legacy Fighting Championship and Bellator. This fight is highly unlikely to go to decision with Mai never having gone to decision and Sanchez only having done so as a professional in his first professional fight.   Sanchez became involved in combat sports when he would train with his older brother. Nine years his elder, he would get home from the gym and want to test out moves he had learned on the young Roberto. His brother trained with Yves Edwards and…

Legacy Fighting Alliance 7 – Domingo Pilarte

By Lance Edwards   Domingo Pilarte (6-1) is an up and coming mixed martial artist, hailing from Houston, TX.  A four-time veteran of Legacy Fighting Championship, Pilarte is making his LFA debut at LFA 7, when he faces hotly touted Saul Soliz protégé Adrian Yanez (5-1).  Pilarte is coming off a win over Christopher Pham (4-7) whom he faced in September at Legacy Fighting Championship 59. “I thought it was a good fight. I was supposed to fight Cody Williams but he pulled out. I needed a replacement and Pham took the fight. I had four or five weeks’ notice for the change in opponent, but there were some similarities in preparing for him as for Cody. He was a shorter fighter like Cody, and I planned to keep him…
